Juventus Transfer Market: The New Name for the Attack Takes Fans by Surprise

Juventus wants to give Luciano Spalletti another No. 9. After the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani, the Tuscan coach had made it clear: “He’s useful, but he’s not enough.” The Bianconeri management intends to sign a new center forward and is looking for the right opportunity to make the move before the end of the summer transfer window.

In recent weeks, the names of Parma’s Mateo Pellegrino, Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Joshua Zirkzee—who is leaving Manchester United—have been mentioned, and there had been whispers of a possible return for Dusan Vlahovic, a free agent since June after contract renewal talks fell through, but in the last few hours another player has landed on the Old Lady’s transfer radar.

The player in question is Ermedin Demirovic, a 28-year-old Bosnian international currently playing for Stuttgart. According to Tuttosport, the player’s agents have offered him to the Turin-based club, which is considering his possible arrival. The striker, born in 1998, has a contract with the Bundesliga club that expires in 2028, and last season he scored 15 goals in 38 appearances across the Bundesliga, the German Cup, and the Europa League.

Demirovic’s value is estimated at around 22 million euros: in the past, he has played for Augsburg, Freiburg, Alavés, St. Gallen, Almería, and Sochaux. He has made 44 appearances for the Bosnian national team. Before signing a new striker, Juventus will first need to sell Jonathan David, whose €6 million salary is no longer sustainable for the Turin-based club.
