Preseason friendlies: Fiorentina vs. Deportivo La Coruña, probable lineups

Fiorentina faces Deportivo La Coruña at 8 p.m. at Viola Park. After facing Queens Park Rangers, Watford, and Real Madrid in a series of matches, Fabio Grosso’s team is set to play its final international friendly against the Spanish side on Thursday evening. The Viola, fresh off a solid draw against Mourinho’s Real Madrid, are energized by the imminent arrival of Franco Mastantuono from the very same club.
Former Juventus fullback Joan Mario could make his debut against Deportivo at some point during the match. Moise Kean is confirmed up front, flanked by Jimenez and Gudmundsson. In midfield, Fagioli will play in the playmaker role, flanked by Ndour and Atta. The two fullbacks will be Dodo and Valdepenas, while Dragusin and Ranieri will line up in front of goalkeeper De Gea.
Deportivo’s front three will be Redondo, Aubameyang, and Eddahchouri, with Villares, Gijselhart, and Guerrero in midfield. Depor remains undefeated in preseason friendlies and has not conceded any goals against Compostela, Oviedo, and Lugo. Next Saturday, they will face Genoa.
Fiorentina vs. Deportivo La Coruña: Probable Lineups
FIORENTINA (4-3-3): De Gea; Dodo, Dragusin, Ranieri, Valdepenas; Ndour, Fagioli, Atta; Jimenez, Kean, Gudmundsson
DEPORTIVO (4-3-3): Perez; Samu, Comas, Barcia, Campos; Villares, Gijselhart, Guerrero; Redondo, Aubameyang, Eddahchouri
The arrival of Franco Mastantuono is the big signing of this summer transfer window for the Tuscan side. The Argentine, born in 2007, who joined Real Madrid last summer from River Plate for 45 million euros, arrives at Fiorentina on a straight loan after a difficult season in Spain: the young attacking midfielder had lost his central role in the Blancos’ plans following Xabi Alonso’s departure. A direct phone call from Grosso is said to have been a key factor in convincing him to choose Florence over the other available options, as Grosso acted decisively to beat out competition from Milan and Roma.
