Sofia Goggia has a new, heartwarming event on her calendar

Sofia Goggia will be one of the main stars of the 2026 Festival dello Sport, the event organized by *La Gazzetta dello Sport* and scheduled to take place in Trento. The Olympic alpine skiing champion will take the stage in Piazza del Duomo on Friday, October 3, for a discussion titled “Sofia Goggia: In the Name of Elena.”

The event will be dedicated to the relationship between Goggia and Elena Fanchini, an Italian skier and her longtime partner in the world of skiing, who passed away in 2023. Joining Sofia Goggia on stage will be Nadia and Sabrina Fanchini, Elena’s sisters and themselves stars and legends of Italian skiing.

The event will be hosted by Rachele Sangiuliano, a former volleyball player for the Italian national team. The event is part of the Festival dello Sport’s extensive program and will be an opportunity to look back on Goggia’s career and her bond with Elena Fanchini through memories, anecdotes, and moments shared on the slopes.

The 2026 edition of the Festival will once again bring great champions and leading figures from Italian and international sports to Trento, with talks, events, and activities taking place at various locations throughout the city.
