A major signing in Serie C: the former Torino goalkeeper joins the team

A major coup for Vis Pesaro, a club competing in Group B of Serie C. According to Sky, the Marche-based club has reached an agreement to sign Alfred Gomis.

The former Torino goalkeeper, a free agent following his stint in Serie B with Palermo, will now guard the net for the Pesaro team in Serie C: a free transfer who brings a wealth of international experience to the third-division squad.

According to rumors, only a physical and the signing of the contract are needed to make the goalkeeper’s arrival official.

Having come up through Torino’s youth system, Alfred Gomis spent the early part of his career on loan at Crotone, Avellino, Cesena, Bologna, and Salernitana. After transferring to SPAL in 2019, he went on to play in France for Dijon, Rennes, and Lorient, as well as spending six months at Como in 2023. For the past two years, he has been the backup goalkeeper for Palermo. Gomis played for seven years on the Senegal national team, where he made 16 appearances, including the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final against Tunisia.
