Juventus Transfer Market: Cambiaso Isn’t Enough—Two Names to Strengthen the Left Flank

Juventus is ready to return to the transfer market to shore up its left flank, where Andrea Cambiaso alone isn’t enough. Massara already has two particularly interesting names on his desk: David Raum of Leipzig and Tyrick Mitchell of Crystal Palace. Both have been suggested and possess qualities that appeal to Juventus. They also share the fact that they will be free agents at the end of the season and are represented by the same agency, ROOF.

Both Raum and Mitchell are, in fact, set to become free agents at the end of the season. For Juventus, however, the possibility of moving up the timeline and trying to make a move as early as January isn’t ruled out, in order to fill the gap and, at the same time, avoid competition from wealthy English clubs. Furthermore, both players seem to fit well into the two formations Spalletti is alternating between at this stage: the 4-2-3-1 and the 3-4-2-1.

Raum brings a wealth of international experience. The German has been a mainstay for Leipzig and the national team for years and would also like to continue playing in the Champions League. Mitchell, on the other hand, has become a mainstay in the Premier League. Born in 1999, after a long stint with Crystal Palace, he started the season on a high note—even scoring a brace against Fulham—and seems ready to consider a new challenge.

Recently, Mick Brown, former head scout for Manchester United, spoke highly of the English fullback, recommending him specifically to the Red Devils and Liverpool: “For any Premier League club looking for a left back, there aren’t many options capable of delivering such consistent performances as Mitchell has done with Crystal Palace.
