Tragedy in Milan: Andrea Tempestini, the 40-year-old deputy editor of Libero, has died

Andrea Tempestini, deputy editor-in-chief of “Libero” and digital editor of the online publication, has been found dead. The journalist’s body was discovered in the basement of his home in the Maciachini neighborhood of Milan by firefighters and the Carabinieri. The response was triggered after a report from his sister, who had been unable to contact him for two days.

The 40-year-old’s apartment was searched by Carabinieri from the Porta Garibaldi station and the Forensic Investigations Unit. The investigation reportedly found no evidence of other people having been present. The medical examiner’s examination also reportedly found no signs on the body indicating the involvement of a third party. Several notes written by Tempestini himself were reportedly found inside the home.

Born in 1986, Andrea Tempestini had been working at “Libero” since 2010, following previous stints on the editorial staffs of “Sole 24 Ore” and “Libero Mercato.” Over the years, he had primarily been responsible for coordinating the digital editorial team, while also overseeing SEO strategies and podcast production.
