RaiQuan Gray was too rough—the basket paid the price: the game was suspended

A problem with the basket at the “Palataki” caused a lengthy interruption during the game between PAOK and Manresa on the first day of the EuroCup.

With 1:22 remaining in the third quarter, following a dunk by RaiQuan Gray—the star player on Andrea Trinchieri’s team—the basket at the PAOK Sports Arena was found to be at an incorrect height. Arena staff then stepped in, taking several measurements to try to adjust the structure and allow the game to resume.

The delay lasted about 25 minutes. In the meantime, players from both teams continued warming up, while referees, court officials, and arena staff worked to resolve the issue.

At the time of the interruption, PAOK was leading 56–52. Once the necessary repairs were made and the basket was restored to the correct height, the game resumed after a nearly half-hour delay.

In the end, the Greek “Black-and-Whites” prevailed 85-72.
