At least for the games against Milan and Scafati, Ramagli will have to do without Brockington

Tezenis Verona has announced that Izaiah Brockington has been experiencing pain in his left calf. Subsequent imaging tests and a specialist examination conducted by Dr. Rodolfo Rocchi revealed an injury to his left soleus muscle.
Brockington, whom the Verona management signed from the Liaoning Flying Leopards in China, has begun his rehabilitation and will be reevaluated by the Gialloblù medical staff over the next 10 to 15 days: he will certainly not be available to head coach Alessandro Ramagli for the games against Olimpia Milano—at home next Monday—and in Scafati on October 11.
This is a significant loss, considering how Brockington had already proven his worth during the preseason. In the exhibition game played in Scandiano against UNA Hotels Reggio Emilia—which ended 77–69 in favor of the red-and-whites—the player finished with 10 points, confirming himself as one of the most reliable players on the Gialloblù roster. Coach Ramagli himself, at the conclusion of the Garda Ball Elite tournament in Lonato, had emphasized how the absences were affecting the rotations: “We’re missing two key players in the rotations, and this means the rotations aren’t as effective as they should be,” the Verona coach had stated.
The former Liaoning player’s absence comes at a delicate time for Tezenis, which has already suffered a loss in its league opener: on the first day of Serie A, the Gialloblù were defeated by Derthona Tortona 101-93 in a high-scoring game played on the Piedmontese court. This result makes it even more urgent to recharge and ensure the availability of players ahead of upcoming matches.
The schedule offers no respite: after the home game against Olimpia Milano—coming off a hard-fought 83-79 loss in their debut against Trieste—Verona will face an away game in Scafati, a team that opened the season with a heavy 87-63 home loss to Udine. Ramagli will therefore have to make a virtue of necessity, carefully managing his rotations while awaiting Brockington’s return.
