Kickoff is at 6 p.m. for Iceland vs. Bulgaria, a match in Group 4 of League C of the 2026–2027 Nations League. The Icelanders lead the group after a draw with Estonia and a decisive home win over Luxembourg, and they hope to extend their lead by defeating Bulgaria—which sits last in the group—at home. The Sofia-based team, after suffering a heavy home loss to Luxembourg in their first match, drew at home against Estonia without ever really shining.

Oskarsson leads the attack for Iceland, flanked by Gudjhonsen. Ellertsson and Haraldsson play on the wings, with Johannesson and Sigurdsson in the center.

The visitors start with a front three of Marin Petkov, Luka Petkov, and Dimitrov. In midfield, Gruev calls the shots, flanked by Tsonev and Stoyanov.

Iceland vs. Bulgaria: Probable Lineups
Iceland (4-4-2): Valdimarsson; Palsson, Magnusson, Gretarsson, Tomasson; Ellertsson, Johannesson, Sigurdsson, Haraldsson; Gudjohnsen, Oskarsson.
Bulgaria (4-3-3): Naumov; Turitsov, K. Dimitrov, Velkov, Velkovski; Tsonev, Gruev, Stoyanov; M. Petkov, L. Petkov, Z. Dimitrov.

Iceland’s head coach Arnar Gunnlaugsson wants a focused team: “We have to win. It’s important not to underestimate the Bulgarians; they’ve been on the decline for a few years, but they have many good players who can give us trouble. I believe the players’ mindset is crucial; we mustn’t be too cocky and underestimate the Bulgarian team. If we start strong in the opening minutes, manage to play well, and put them on the defensive, it will be easier for us to take the lead.”
