Milan Transfer Market: Euroderby with Roma for Real Madrid’s Rising Star

Endrick has become one of the most intriguing names ahead of the winter transfer window. The Brazilian, born in 2006, who joined Real Madrid for a total fee of nearly 60 million euros and is returning from a six-month loan stint at Lyon, is seeing very little playing time in the Spanish capital. This season, under José Mourinho, he has played just 4 minutes.
Alexandre Pato’s comments at the Trento Sports Festival have also brought the Brazilian talent back into the spotlight. The former Rossoneri forward shared some behind-the-scenes details involving Milan and Gerry Cardinale: “Endrick? I think he needs to make a move, because it’s tough for him to play in Madrid. I know Cardinale was trying to bring him to Milan—we talked about it—but in the end, nothing came of it. In January? I don’t know about that.”
The Rossoneri club had reportedly already explored the possibility of bringing Endrick to Milan during the summer transfer window, maintaining contact with Real Madrid. At that time, however, the Spanish club was reportedly not open to the possibility of a sale or loan before the middle of the season. With the winter transfer window reopening, the situation could change. Milan is therefore keeping an eye on the situation and could knock on Real’s door again to assess the feasibility of the deal.
Roma has also been closely following Endrick’s situation in recent months. Sporting director Tony D’Amico reportedly reached an agreement with Real Madrid and the player, who is said to have expressed interest in a potential move to the Italian capital. The deal, however, fell through after Mourinho vetoed it, reportedly blocking the Brazilian’s departure.
Endrick thus remains caught between Madrid and the prospect of a new experience. Milan and Roma are monitoring the situation, while Real Madrid will have to decide whether to continue betting on the young Brazilian or consider a loan to allow him to gain more playing time and consistency.
