Cristiano Ronaldo Chaos: Georgina Lashes Out, Then Regrets It

The Cristiano Ronaldo controversy continues to stir up Portugal. A few days ago, CR7 suddenly left the Portuguese national team’s training camp, furious at being left out of the match against Norway and at the comments made by head coach Jorge Jesus during a postgame press conference.
The debate rages on social media, and Ronaldo’s wife, Georgina Rodriguez, has also weighed in. According to A Bola, the Argentine model and influencer lashed out at Jorge Jesus, citing a statement falsely attributed to Alex Ferguson, CR7’s former coach during his time at Manchester United.
“I don’t know how this man can bear the name of Christ,” Georgina wrote. “If Jorge Jesus knew in his heart that he didn’t want to use him, why did he call him up? To force him to take a stand? That’s not authority—it’s insecurity,” reads the false quote attributed to the Scottish manager. Georgina realized her blunder a few minutes later and deleted the post, but it was too late: the screenshot immediately went viral.
Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Saudi Arabia on Sunday aboard a private jet. Meanwhile, the national team coach tried to reach out: “Our focus must be on the national team—in this case, Norway—on what we need to do well, and on what our players also need to do well. It’s not about ignoring Cristiano Ronaldo; he’s a symbol of the national team and of Portugal. After the game, there will be plenty of time to talk about it.”
