The Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) and Audi will continue their partnership at least through 2030. The two organizations have announced the renewal of a partnership that began in 2007 and has grown stronger over the years thanks to shared values such as the pursuit of peak performance, a passion for sports, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The announcement was made during the Trento Sports Festival, where the fleet of cars destined for the Italian national team was also unveiled.

Among the stars at the ceremony to hand over the official cars were Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia, two of the biggest names in Italian and international alpine skiing. The champions—rivals on the slopes but teammates on the national team—have chosen the same model for their travel during the upcoming competitive season. Both will drive the new Audi RS 5 Avant, a high-performance car from the German automaker.

The RS 5 represents a major innovation for Audi’s sports car lineup, as it is the first model developed by the Ingolstadt-based division to feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The car combines a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine with an electric motor, delivering a total output of 639 cavalli and a claimed top speed of 285 km/h.

At the event in Trento, Audi also unveiled a version of the RS 5 featuring a special tricolor livery dedicated to FISI. This customization was designed to celebrate the relationship between the German brand and Italian winter sports, further strengthening a partnership that spans nearly two decades.
