NBA, Chris Paul names old friend to Suns

Melo, officially, never retired
It all stemmed from Paul’s words toward his old friend Melo: “A player of that caliber, with the talent and heart he has shown, with everything he has done in his career for this game, deserves to leave basketball only when he decides to do so.”
Words that immediately led to several discussions, including within the Suns. Right now, Phoenix is struggling with so many injuries (Booker, Crowder and Johnson). Paul seems convinced that the 38-year-old Anthony can still help out. Officially, Melo has not played a game since last April 5, but he has never even declared retirement. May he be able to get back on the court again thanks to his friend Paul?
