MotoGp, Ducati: Fabio Di Giannantonio lapidary on his Friday in Portimao
Fabio Di Giannantonio disappointed with free practice day in Portimao
Fabio Di Giannantonio, on the sidelines of the free practice for the Portuguese Grand Prix that officially raised the curtain on the 2023 MotoGp season, was rather harsh on himself for his 21st place finish in both sessions on Friday, in his analysis of the day given to Team Gresini’s official channels.
“A bit of a chaotic day between track conditions and red flags,” said the 1998-born centaur, “however, I didn’t expect to feel so much difference with the others for missing a day of testing. We lapped exactly like my best time on day-1 of the test, while the rest already made an important step.”
“We are a little further behind and we have to figure out how to set up for tomorrow. The crash obviously didn’t help, but no consequences,” Di Giannantonio later explained.
