Carlos Alcaraz, limitless ambition: ‘I want to reach the big boys’
Carlos Alcaraz outspoken about Fritz: “I’ve seen some of his matches and will watch some videos.”
During an interview with the microphones of “BPtennisTV,” world number one Carlos Alcaraz spoke about his quarterfinal match with Fritz in the Miami tournament and his long-term goals.
“The most important thing is that I am playing very relaxed. I’m a tennis player who can adapt well on any surface and I’m doing well on this court. Fritz and I have never faced each other or even trained together. I have seen some of his matches and I will watch some videos, but the important thing is to focus on myself and play relaxed without forcing,” said the Spaniard.
On his goals, “I am a very ambitious person who always aims high and now I want to be one of the best in history. I would like to reach the goals of the Big Three. This mentality of mine motivates me to always give my best to keep improving and reach the goals I set for myself,” added Alcaraz.
