Between the two there is only one precedent
There is only one official precedent between Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti on the ATP circuit dating back to the Antwerp 2021 tournament on indoor cement: the South Tyrolean won in two sets, with a score of 7-5, 6-2 in one hour and 35 minutes of play.
Before that, the two talented tennis players had already faced each other in 2019, in the semifinals of the Internazionali di Roma pre-qualification. At the time, Jannik was the top-ranked Italian under-18, while Lorenzo was fresh off his victory at the Australian Open junior. Sinner came out on top after a marathon 2 hours and 40 minutes: 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, with Jannik also canceling a match point.
