No dice for Eugenie Bouchard, who was immediately eliminated in Rome in the Internazionali d’Italia qualifiers. The Canadian tennis player, who had been showing signs of recovery in Spain after a long negative period, was defeated by Hungarian Dalma Galfi in two sets with the scores of 7-6, 6-3.
Also among the luxury eliminations was that of Erika Andreeva, who was narrowly defeated by Elsa Jacquemot 6-2, 6-1. Among the Italians, Colmegna, Bertoldo, Chiesa and Moratelli were eliminated.
