F1, Christian Horner jokes about Toto Wolff’s past
Christian Horner sends a dig at Toto Wolff
Christian Horner, interviewed by the ‘Financial Times,’ missed no opportunity to renew his rivalry with Toto Wolff, this time bringing up the experience of the two current team principals of Red Bull and Mercedes directly behind the wheel. “I have raced, Toto has … participated,” Horner said smilingly, referring to the Austrian’s short career first in Formula Ford and then in the GT class in the 1990s.
“I made it to British Formula 2 at best, but I was not a guy who could split head and heart,” Horner later said of himself. “I thought it was stupid to take risks and I knew when to stop. I made the right choice, at the highest level the drivers, like for example Max Verstappen, are able to see the big screen while driving, commenting on what is happening in the race, giving directions to the pits.”
