Lecce, Marco Baroni is blunt about the end of the season
Marco Baroni’s statements ahead of Monza-Lecce
On the eve of the very delicate match with Monza, Lecce coach Marco Baroni has spoken bluntly about the salvation struggle and his expectations for this championship finale. “We will take the field already knowing the results of our competitors, but we should not expect anyone to give us something. We have to think about ourselves. I expect a lot from my players,” said the Salentini coach.
“Monza has an important staff and in the last matches they have shown that they are in a great state of form. We will have to take the field with great respect for the opponent, but at the same time with the determination and desire that has always distinguished us,” added the coach of the Giallorossi.
Finally, Marco Baroni wanted to dwell on the injury issue: “Hjulmand trained again today and his recovery is progressing well. In midfield Askildsen has also recovered. I am happy because all the guys are in great shape.”
