Official no to Davis Cup, Jannik Sinner explains whyé

Jannik Sinner in a story on Instagram made it official that he will not be available to coach Filippo Volandri for the group stage of the Davis Cup scheduled for September 15-17 in Bologna.

The South Tyrolean tennis player, fresh from the Us Open round of 16 loss to Zverev, gave the following reasons for his decision: "Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to recover after the tournaments in America, and unfortunately I will not be able to be part of the team in Bologna".

"È always an honor to play for our country and I am convinced to return to the national team as soon as possible. Best of luck to the boys, see you".

Volandri will make the list official soon, Berrettini and Fognini will not be there either. Room for Musetti, Sonego, Arnaldi, Bolelli and Vavassori.
