Infodrive Capo d’Orlando has announced the acquisition of Thomas Noah Binelli, a long, 205-cm, 95-pound class of 1999, who will join Orlandina Basket for the 2022-2023 sports season. Binelli is a wing with excellent mid-range and long range shooting.

Born in Bologna on Oct. 15, 1999, Thomas is a son of the family. His father Gus, in fact, is a former Virtus Bologna pivot (with whom he won, among other things, 5 Scudetti, 1 Euroleague and 1 Cup Winners’ Cup), and the second Italian basketball player ever chosen in an NBA draft after Dino Meneghin. Thomas, on the other hand, grew up with San Lazzaro, then Reggio Emilia and in 2015 moved to Ney Jersey, with Oradell for two seasons, where he was based at Bergen Catholic High
School.

In 2017 he signed at Monroe College in upstate New York, then, in 2019 he transferred to Eastern Michigan University, a team currently competing in the West Division of the Mid-American Conference (NCAA Division I).In his two seasons in a “green” jersey, he averaged nearly 6 points per game and over 2 rebounds. He has also been a member of the Under-14, Under-15 and Under-16 national teams.

“Thomas is a wing with important physical and technical characteristics, able in particular to open the court very well, a guy we had been following for some time and we are happy that he can start in Capo d’Orlando his professional career after finishing his path in the United States,” explained the Sicilians’ sporting director, Antonio Sapone.
