Ettore Messina not thinking of renewal, but of Bayern Munich

After the contract renewal, the goal is back to resume winning.

Ettore Messina will be coach of Olimpia Milano until June 3o, 2026, after the club made the announcement on Monday. Tuesday marks the return to Euroleague play, with the Milanese team having to put behind it a very long period of difficulties and defeats. The knockouts in Serie A have become as many as five, but now the goal è to rise again in Europe.

"We will play against a team that is healthy and that è returned from a good win – Messina said about Bayern Munich, Olimpia Milano's next opponent. They are very physical, and they can take advantage of important skills in offense and especially in rebounds. We therefore will have to take the court with a great sense of urgency".

In addition to the problems in the league, Olimpia Milano must in fact also pick itself up in the Euroleague where it would currently be out of the playoffs. "First of all, we have to try to protect our scoreboard,” Messina noted. “That will be our first goal, and we have to achieve it in order to try to compete with our opponents on a court that will certainly be very difficult".
