The Process on 7Gold resumes: Paolo Bargiggia man-market
The Trial on 7Gold
From August 15 at 8:45 p.m., Il Processo, a historic Monday program hosted by Maurizio Biscardi (son of the great Aldo) paired with Francesca Barbara Ovieni, returns on 7Gold. Among the new features that will help make a successful appointment, which has become a must-see for soccer lovers over the years, even more exciting, is the arrival at 7Gold of Paolo Bargiggia, an ex-Mediaset journalist, among the pioneers of TV soccer in Italy.
He will be entrusted with the task of informing Processo’s viewers about the market movements of the various teams, making the classic TV skirmishes between the pundits and fans in the studio even more fiery: from Tiziano Crudeli to Elio Corno, from Gianni Solaroli to Filippo Tramontana, from Michele Borrelli to Marcello Chirico and Francesco Oppini, to the many other soccer protagonists – such as Luciano Moggi, Fabio Santini, Massimo Brambati, Giacomo Ferri, and more – who have been frequenting Processo’s studios for years.
Among the new additions will be Evaristo Beccalossi, who from this season joins the team of 7Gold columnists.
Bargiggia will then run his own column, “Paolo Bargiggia’s Market,” from 11:30 p.m. to midnight every Monday at the end of Processo, establishing a dialogue with 7Gold viewers and the rich fanbase that follows him on his social profiles.
“I am particularly happy and motivated for this new editorial adventure,” comments Bargiggia. “I thank you for the esteem and trust that has been granted to me. I consider 7Gold an established reality with a high standard in the panorama of sports programming in Italy. I have always made enthusiasm and teamwork my strength to put into this job, where I will also bring my long experience in television, my content and my sources to contribute to make an increasingly captivating and exclusive information. Starting right away with a space dedicated to Calciomercato, to which I owe a good part of my professional rise, is something that will charge me to the max and that will lead 7Gold to make a difference in this field as well, well aware that we will need the experience and enthusiasm of all new colleagues to do a great job.”
An important addition is Bargiggia, who worked at Mediaset’s sports newsroom from 1995 to 2020, becoming one of the best known and most appreciated faces in Italian sports journalism. First editor and then deputy chief of service, he was the first journalist to bring, in a structured and continuous way, Calciomercato on a national TV, curating and leading in-depth programs and dedicated spaces, in addition to the usual windows
daily on Italia 1’s “Studio Sport” news program. Until the 2007-2008 season he was also a correspondent on the soccer fields of Serie A and the Champions League, where he covered, among other things, four finals: from the 2000/2001 season to the 2005/2006 season. On Serie A, he was for years a reporter on Moratti’s Inter, from the day he bought the club. From 2008 onwards, he was the host of several live programs such as: “Domenica Stadio,” “Speciale Europa League” and “Guida al Campionato” on Saturday nights on Italia 1 and Rete 4. He was a pundit for two seasons on the Sunday afternoon program “Serie A Live” aired on Premium Sport and then on programs about the World Cup in Russia in 2018.
