Giorgio Chiellini reflects on the possibility of retiring
The Major League soccer final between his LAFC and the Columbus Crew (who won the trophy by winning 2-1) may have been the last game of Giorgio Chiellini's long and bright career. On the other hand, it was the former Juventus player himself, speaking to 'Tuttosport' who admitted the need to take a few days to reflect on his future.
"I still have doubts – Chiellini's words. I have to figure out what I should follow: whether my head, my heart or my leg. It's è been a beautiful journey. It may have been my last game. I'll take a couple of days to decide" although, by his own admission, "many different calls" have come in the last few weeks.
The desire to return to Juventus, even not as a player, è known: "I do not want to be a liar, in my future I see Juventus – said the former Juve and national team captain -. I do not know in what role, but è a place where I spent almost half of my life. I am still very attached to each of them and I am very happy that they are having a good season".
Chiellini, born in 1984, played as a professional for Livorno, Fiorentina, Juventus and LAFC, as well as in the national team: in bianconero, undoubtedly, the most victorious interlude, with as many as nine Scudetti, five Italian Cups and as many Italian Super Cups.
