F1, Günther Steiner goes down flat with Mick Schumacher
Kevin Magnussen already sure of place for 2023
The driver market in Formula 1 is in full swing. And Mick Schumacher still does not know which team he will be in next season, given his desire to go to a stronger team than Haas.
With the American team in 2023 Kevin Magnussen will remain, but for the other seat team principal Günther Steiner is in no hurry: “We have never decided on drivers before the summer break and we won’t do it this year,” he told Racer. “I will talk to Gene Haas during the summer break and then I hope we can announce our plans between the end of September and October.
“We don’t have to wait for what Ferrari says. I don’t want to talk about our agreement, because otherwise they get angry,” so Steiner, who made a specific comment about Schumacher. “I don’t know the terms of the agreement between Mick and Ferrari, and I don’t need to know them. If he decides to go elsewhere, I can’t change that.”
