MotoGp, Ducati: Pecco Bagnaia prefers 2023 title and explains why
Pecco Bagnaia: "The 2023 title different and moreù beautiful"
Among the champions celebrated during the event 'Campioni in Festa', staged on Friday, December 15 at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno to celebrate the successes of Ducati in 2023, could certainly not miss Pecco Bagnaia: the two-time world champion retraced the season just ended, which gave him a splendid encore World Championship in MotoGp.
"It's been different, very different, compared to last year – Pecco said in front of reporters at the press conference -. In 2022 there was a point in the season when we had nothing to lose, we were at -91 from the top: when you are at that stage when you have to win, doing it comes almost easier. From there; we would then win four in a row recovering a lot of points and even getting to control the lead".
"This year instead è it was a little bit the opposite – Bagnaia again explained -, we got to +66 and then in Indonesia we also went into a disadvantage. After Barcelona the situation had become difficult, but we managed to stay very consistent all the time, that è was the key. On Sunday we always did well and managed to bring a result in my opinion more beautiful than the previous year, because I won with the number 1".
Bagnaia, 27 years old next January 14, è the third rider to succeed in the feat of repeating as world champion of the MotoGp class since the latter took the place of the old '500': only Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez, before him, had in fact managed to confirm at least once the title won the previous year.
