It was all easy for Milan, which at the Meazza Stadium overwhelmed Rennes 3-0 in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16, mortgaging qualification to the round of 16.
On 7’ there’è immediately a very good chance for the Rossoneri: Leao collects a Florenzi throw, stoops with his chest and sends the ball, slightly deflected, to print on the crossbar. But on 24’ it is the French who go close to the lead with Bourigeaud who sends it out by a whisker.
On 32’ Milan took the lead: Florenzi’s cross and Loftus-Cheek’s great header beat Mandanda. In the third minute of the second half again Loftus-Cheek and again a header served by Kjaer on the development of a corner kick.
In 53’ the tris: Leao heel to Theo Hernandez who gives back to the Portuguese, winning plate and closed game, as well as perhaps the qualification. At 73’ Mandanda has a chance to deny the Rossoneri poker with a double save first on Pulisic and then on Okafor.
