Milan, è the day of Paulo Fonseca

Paulo Fonseca's era on the Milan bench officially begins. On the morning of Saturday, July 6, in fact, the Portuguese coach è landed at Milan Malpensa airport on a private flight from Lille. Afterwards, the former Roma player along with his staff headed to Milanello to visit the sports center and lead the first official training session in the afternoon.

The 51-year-old coach, who signed a contract with the rossoneri until 2027, will be officially presented at Casa Milan on Monday, July 8, 2024, where he will answer the first questions and curiosities about his new professional adventure at the helm of the meneghini.

Milan, for its part, è already working on the market to shore up the squad and put in the best possible conditions the new coach, who will be called upon to revive the ambitions of the Rossoneri club. The main department on which the Milanese club would plan to intervene è the offensive one. According to a report by "Tuttosport", in fact, the Milanese club would be working to place a double shot in attack, namely Alvaro Morata and Joshua Zirkzee. As for the Spaniard, the main obstacle would be the high salary received by the player (6 million euros), while for the Dutch center forward, despite the fact that Milan already has the player's OK, an agreement would not yet have been reached with the prosecutor regarding commissions.

Beyond the incoming market, the Rossoneri executives are working to try to place those players considered out of the technical project, Origi, Saelemaekers, Ballo-Touré, Pobega above all.
