Olympics, 4×100 boys: "We could have done even better"
There'è some regret for the missed silver by the 4×100 freestyle boys in the final of the Paris 2024 Olympics. "Very important medal, I am very happy for the medal,” said Thomas Ceccon, “Any metal is good, more or less because we had to defend the second place. It was difficult, è still an important medal. The pool was moreù slow" anyway.
Moreù regretted Alessandro Miressi, the least brilliant of the Azzurri: "Overall I am happy for the relay becauseé we reconfirmed ourselves on the Olympic podium, but I am not happy for my split becauseé it could have been worth the second place. I am not satisfied with my race, but still we are on the Olympic podium and è a lot".
Rookie Paolo Conte Bonin enjoys it: "There was so much expectation, we managed to get on the podium and it was important. I thought I would do better, but tension plays tricks".
Manuel Frigo closed the split: "I am so happy, I felt good and watching the race we believed a lot. There was a lot of pressure, but è it went well".
