Jannik Sinner spoke hotly after straightening out a match that seemed lost against Rublev, partly due to the wind that affected the day in Cincinnati, as the world number one himself pointed out.
"It wasn't easy today, it was very windy. I was down a set, I then had my chances and took advantage of them at the beginning of the second set. I am happy with my reaction", the words in the South Tyrolean's courtside interview.
Sinner, who will face the winner between Zverev and Shelton, brought home another 100 important points from a ranking perspective, stretching out his pursuers to the world number one throne and in particular Carlos Alcaraz, who was defeated on Friday by surprise.
