Frances Tiafoe’s words after his knockout with Jannik Sinner

After eliminating Holger Rune in a comeback, Frances Tiafoe could do nothing in the final against Jannik Sinner, who won the match and the tournament with a score of 7-6 6-2. Despite the knockout, the American tennis player did not lose his smile and during the post-award statements he è starred in an amusing little joke with the South Tyrolean.

"Thank you Cincinnati for an incredible week. Congratulations to Jannik Sinner, è fantastic what you have done this season, you are number 1, congratulations to you and your team. I also thank my team for being there for me" began the American tennis player.

"If we face each other again at the Us open don’t beat me (laughs ed.). I wish you the best for Flushing Meadows, but really Jannik if we face each other again in New York don’t do to me again what you did today" added the 1998 class.

"I am very happy with the run we had here in Cincinnati. It's been the best week of my career so far and I hope to do well again at the Us Open" Frances Tiafoe chipped in.
