Jannik Sinner: new staff takes shape

Jannik Sinner is running for cover after the painful dismissals of athletic trainer Umberto Ferrara and physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi: the Italian tennis player will choose in the weeks following the US Open the replacements who will become part of his new staff, to turn over a new leaf for good after the bitterness of the last period, which came off the court.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the possibility of hiring Marco Panichi and Claudio Zimaglia is becoming more and more concrete. The former è has been Novak Djokovic’s athletic trainer for a long time: for more than 6 years è he has been by the side of the most successful tennis player in history, and has experience to spare. Panichi has also managed other top names such as Kuznetsova, Hantuchova, Karlovic, Kohlschreiber, Li Na, but he has also worked with many Italian talents such as Francesca Schiavone, Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli.

Claudio Zimaglia, on the other hand, has already worked with Jannik when the Azure was followed by Riccardo Piatti: the two could thus return to collaborate, although Zimaglia himself è currently under contract with Novak Djokovic until the end of 2024.

According to other rumors, Sinner may hire Jez Green, another famous athletic trainer who has worked with Alexander Zverev and Andy Murray.
