Udinese announced in an official note that “Adam Masina suffered a rupture of the cruciate ligament in his right knee. The player was successfully operated on in Rome by Professor Mariani at the Villa Stuart Clinic.”
Finally, the Friulian club wanted to send “a big hug and best wishes for a speedy recovery” to its defender.
The rupture of the cruciate provides for a stop of at least six months. Masina, therefore, will be forced to miss the World Cup with the Moroccan national team, and may return available in mid-March, at the 25th Serie A match, to be optimistic. In case the recovery time is lengthened, the Bianconeri side will make his return in April, with now only a few league days left.
