VR46: Marco Bezzecchi charged and confident for the last Sprint Race of the season
The words of Marco Bezzecchi
Marco Bezzecchi impresses in the first day of free practice of the Solidarity Gp being raced this weekend in Barcelona at the Montmelò circuit. The centaur of the VR46 team, in fact, in pre-qualifying he scored an excellent second place, also gaining the'direct access to Q2.
"It's been a very positive Friday even if this morning I found myself a bit displaced. Compared to the last race here last summer, we have worked a lot on both the bike and my riding style. There are a lot of differences, even simply at the level of setting and some automatisms were not immediate" began the centaur number 72 to the official channels of the team.
"In the afternoon session I tried to ride as smoothly as possible, I warmed up the tires well and felt really good. Tomorrow we definitely need another step, so many will try to close the gap, but I can also be lì with the firsts and do well" added Marco Bezzecchi.
Fridayì to forget, on the other hand, for teammate Michele Pirro, who did not è go beyond 22nd position: "A start a bit’ shock, immediately a fall. I wanted to keep the tire hot, but the brakes were not ready and I lost confidence. I then tried to close the gap, for tomorrow we certainly have the potential to be more ahead and get closer to the Top15, but è the first time this season I’m racing in the group and the sensations, especially in terms of aerodynamics, are completely different. In any case, I am happy to be here, I è missed turning with the others. Tomorrow we have a couple of points where I can make a step".
