Moto2: super comeback and triumph in Montmeló for Aron Canet
A fine victory to put the rainbow disappointment behind them.
Aron Canet wins in Montmelò the last Moto2 Grand Prix of the season, trying in this way to forget the disappointment of a world championship that ended in second place and rewarded Ai Ogura. In the final act of the season, the champion finished fourth, also beaten by Manuel Gonzalez and Diogo Moreira. Badly for the Italians.
With Manu Gonzalez first at the start and the Ogura-Moreira duo behind him, Canet è called for a great comeback after a bad start that relegated him to ninth place. Immediately comes a crash, which also involves Celestino Vietti (no consequences for the riders). But the Spaniard manages to bring himself back from ninth to first in the course of a single lap: the fourth.
The victory seems no longer in question, with Ogura also losing the podium in a heart-stopping finale that rewards Brazilian Diogo Moreira: already; elected rookie of the year, for him è the first podium in Moto2. Points in extremis for Tony Arbolino, who closes 14° on the finish line. Instead, he does not go beyond the 21st position Stefano Manzi.
