Jannik Sinner dragged Italy into the Davis Cup semifinals: first with his singles win over Sebastian Baez, then with his victory in the decisive doubles match, paired with Matteo Berrettini, over the experienced Argentine pair of Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni.
At the end of the match, the world number one explained the understanding with the Roman to the microphones of Rai Sport: "We understand each other very well even off the court, he really played an incredible doubles today, where he responded very very well, obviously serves incredibly, so I am happy that we were able to play a doubles of this kind on the’1-1. The situation was very delicate, very difficult, for me è an honor to play with him".
