Numia Vero Volley Milano returned to success in CEV Champions League, imposing with a clear 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-13) on the Slovenian team of Calcit Kamnik in the first return day of Pool C. In front of the warm crowd at the’Opiquad Arena in Monza, the Consortium’s women’s team won three precious points, moving closer to the group leader, the VakifBank Istanbul. Ample turnover for coach Lavarini, who on this occasion gives space to Danesi, Daalderop and Fukudome.

In the first set, dragged by the excellent performance of Sylla, Cazaute and Egonu, Milan immediately took control, closing with an ace by Kurtagic (25-15). The second partial saw Numia consolidate the lead: Heyrman’s monster block and Cazaute’s serve decisive, leading the team to a peremptory 25-11. The third set è was also one-sided, with Egonu, Pietrini and Konstantinidou managing the game, while Marinova and Guidi came out on top in the final points.

At 25-13, Milan closed the match with authority, sending an important signal ahead of the World Club Championships. MVP of the challenge è the Greek Lamprini Konstantinidou, while the top scorer è Paola Egonu, author of 17 points, followed by Cazaute with 10.

Now, coach Lavarini s girls are preparing for a historic event: for the first time, they will fly to China to participate in the World Club Championship, scheduled from December 17 to 22 in Hangzhou. Among the protagonists of the tournament, another Italian lineup well known to Orro and her teammates stands out: the Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano.
