NBA: LA Lakers down without LeBron James
Wembanyama spectacular against Portland
No James, no party for the LA Lakers who, in Minneapolis, are outplayed by Minnesota (97-87 the final). Davis’ 23 points and 11 rebounds were not enough to avoid their 12th loss of the season (13 wins). At home T'Wolves, solid performance by Edwards, who puts up 23 points.
Heavy defeat for Philadelphia, which surrendered to Indiana (121-107). Game always in control of Indiana with Haliburton great protagonist (32 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds). On the 76ers side, Maxey’s 22 points were of note. Six seconds before halftime, it goes (again) knockout Embiid. A fractured septum is feared for the Philadelphia long man.
It was all easy for Cleveland, which got rid of Washington (115-105), taking home its 22nd win of the season. Good Chicago getting the better of the challenge with Charlotte (109-95). Sonorous success of Memphis against Brooklyn (135-119). Denver rules the LA Clippers with a clean 120-87 while Phoenix finds Durant again and folds Utah (134-126, 30 points for KD).
Victory, in a sprint, of San Antonio against Portland (118-116 the final). The Trail Blazers needed only 62 points from the Simons-Grant duo. At home Spurs, the talent of Wembanyama shines, who ends his excellent game with 28 points, seven rebounds and as many assists. San Antonio’s record in positive (13-12).
