Six Nations, Italy dominated at the Olympic Stadium: 73-24 to France

Italrugby falls sharply at home against France, in the match valid for the third round of the Six Nations 2025. At the Olympic Stadium in Rome, in fact, it ends 73-24 for the French, who score as many as 11 goals and redeem themselves after the defeat to England.

Handing over the match ball was Sergio Parisse, on the day dedicated to his celebration in front of an Olympic stadium colored by the more than sixty-five thousand fans. Italy plays a high intensity first half and scores with Menoncello and Brex, but France attacks with great intensity. The first half ended with the score 17-35 and as many as seven goals scored. 

In the second half, France scored and played wide, with Italy giving up a bit, but still putting in a display of great character. Inspired by the Olympic champion in rugby 7’s Antoine Dupont, Galthi’s men changed the front and played a rugby of great continuity’directed in transitions, despite the reaction of the Azzurri who scored in the second half with Paolo Garbisi.

It therefore ends 24-73 in favor of France. The Guinness Six Nations will return on March 9 with the Twickenham showdown with England.
