McLaren, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris in diametrically opposite moods

Despite having dominated Friday’s free practice of the Bahrain GP, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, in their usual analysis to the microphones of “Sky Sport F1″, expressed diametrically opposed feelings.

“Honestly I am quite happy, the car seemed to be in good condition. For the heat was totally different than the tests held here, as there are much higher temperatures than a few weeks ago.

“On the dry lap we are very competitive. Discrete is also the long run, there are still aspects where we can improve, but overall it was a good day. The signs are there and we are not far from where we want to be. Tomorrow we will focus on details to bring out the full potential of this car” these are the words of Oscar Piastri.

“I experienced these two free practice sessions in a shocking way. Today was horrendous compared to what we did during testing. Overall it was a difficult day, it was not easy to readjust to this track and I don’t think it will be an exciting race, because the degradation is crazy compared to testing.

It&#8217s been a day when everything resembled the word ‘tremendous’ but the weather looks decent fortunately. Temperatures are high, there is no shortage of wind, and it&#8217s more noticeable than in testing. The big challenge will be getting the rear tires working. We have a lot of archived data from the pre-season, but it won&#8221t help seeing the current track conditions” these, however, are the words of Lando Norris.
