The’NBA, little by little, is awarding the prestigious awards tied to the 2024-25 regular season. While waiting to find out who will take home the MVP title (in the running are Gilgeous-Alexander, Jokic and Antetokounmpo), the name of the winner of the Sixth Man of the Year award has been revealed.

The coveted award went to Pritchard, play/guard for the Boston Celtics. The 27-year-old green-and-white got the better of Beasley (Detroit Pistons) and Jerome (Cleveland Cavaliers). The last Celtics player to win the Best Sixth Man of the Year award was Brogdon, two seasons ago.

Pritchard started in only three games this season, shooting 40.7 percent from three and finishing the season averaging 14.3 points per contest. The one just completed was his fifth season in the NBA.

“I feel that every year you get better. So, I hope I have improved from last season…Entering the game on the court as the game goes on? You do your drills, you run, you try to warm up as best you can, but it’s simply a matter of being mentally prepared for the moment and not thinking about anything else’else” his words reported by ESPN.
