Milan: Coppa Italia final changes everything, even for Conceiçao

A.C. Milan is in the Coppa Italia final. Thanks to a peremptory 3-0 win in the return derby, the Rossoneri will play in the final, scheduled for May 14 in Rome. After winning the Supercoppa Italiana, Conceiçao can raise his second trophy of the season (the Coppa Italia has been missing from the Diavolo’s palmares since 2003).
Thanks to the pass for the Coppa Italia final, Milan has also mathematically gudagnato l’access to the next final phase of the Italian Super Cup (four-team format confirmed). But it certainly does not end there…
.
The Diavolo, should they win the Coppa Italia final, would also surely win a place in the next edition of the Europa League. Given the many problems in the league, succeeding in the Europa League would still be a prestigious achievement for the Rossoneri.
Attention also needs to be paid to Conceiçao’s future. Clearly, should Milan manage to lift the Coppa Italia trophy, it would be more complicated to part with the Portuguese. In the pre-match of the challenge with Inter, technical director Moncada did not comment on the Rossoneri coach but, with two trophies won, his chances of staying on next year would increase exponentially. Much will also depend, of course, on the new sporting director, who, barring unforeseen events, should be Tare’former Lazio man Tare.
