Bologna, ds Marco Di Vaio extends until 2027
Bologna has extended the contract of sporting director Marco Di Vaio until June 30, 2027. “I am happy to announce the renewal” says President Joey Saputo, in the aftermath of qualifying for the Coppa Italia final.
“I have known Marco since 2012, when I met him to offer him to come and play in Montreal. I knew him as a player and then, here in Bologna, as an executive,” Saputo continued.
Over the years I have seen him grow and hone his professional skills: in recent seasons, working alongside the head of the technical area Giovanni Sartori, he has contributed to the team’s growth and the enhancement of our roster.
As a footballer, Marco Di Vaio played with Lazio, Salernitana, Parma, Juventus, Genoa and finally Bologna, and it was with the Felsineri that he began his career as a manager in 2015, being appointed director of football in 2022.
