Empoli, Roberto D'Aversa wants concreteness against Fiorentina

On the eve of the derby against Fiorentina, Roberto D’Aversa, Empoli coach, analyzed the momentum of his team and the importance of the derby tomorrow in Florence. “These days we have differentiated work, we know how important it is for our fans. Fiorentina is doing great things. On our part, there must be the will and determination because our salvation also depends on this” said D’Aversa for whom “the spirit of last Thursday in the Coppa Italia can be engine for the achievement of the’goal”.
The coach insisted on the need for a concrete performance: “Tomorrow the team must be concrete, that is, concede as little as possible. We have to take advantage of the goal-balls we create for ourselves, we are good at creating them but sometimes we don’t finish despite the right situation. I ask for concreteness because there is no more margin for error at this point of the season”. D’Aversa commented on the team’s performance in Bologna, stressing the importance of the goal despite the result not being positive. “Scoring a goal is always good regardless of the result. One works to score goals” he said reiterating however the difficulty of the purple opponent.
“Fiorentina is a complete team, in some departments they have triple roles – he stressed – They have a strong roster, woe to think that the absences of Dodò and Kean can favor us. In fact, I am sorry that there are not two protagonists for their health and family reasons”. The Empoli’coach spoke about leadership in the team his knowing that several players can take on the role of draggers.
“There can be more than one but with different characteristics – he explained – There’is Grassi, who can speak as a captain; there can be a silent leader like Ismajli and a technical one like Viti, who speak little but at the right time. I expect a lot from Fazzini, Solbakken, Anjorin, they have not been so lucky with injuries and I hope they can give us a boost”.
On Fiorentina, he concluded: “The Viola have important qualities, they are not the same as in the’first leg, they have found their own physiognomy. They are doing well in Europe, they have acquired a certain mentality. At home they have beaten Milan, Atalanta, Inter, Juventus. It will be a complicated match. We have to build on the fact that we put them in trouble, but to bring home the result you have to make as few mistakes as possible”.
