Atalanta: Lookman defers again, Inter prepares new strategy

Between Ademola Lookman and Atalanta it is now a total rupture: for the second day in a row, in fact, the striker of the Nigerian national team has deserted the scheduled training session in Zingonia and the chances of a U-turn on the model of what happened last year, when the Parisian sirens made the relationship between the player and the orobico club falter for the first time, are now reduced to the lumicino.

Lookman, in the season that is about to begin, does indeed want to wear a Nerazzurri striped jersey, but not that of La Dea: the striker only wants Inter, but in recent weeks Atalanta has repeatedly rejected the proposals of the Beneamata, which even went as far as offering 42 million immediately and 3 as bonuses to be given upon the achievement of certain goals, and the situation has not in fact been unblocked yet.

If at least 50 million does not arrive, Atalanta is willing to continue the tug-of-war with the player, at the cost of putting him out of the squad. The ball, in fact, now passes to Inter, which in order to unblock the situation will have to return to the negotiating table and find a compromise with the ownership of the Orobic club before the end of the summer market.

In the meantime, however, the Nerazzurri are not standing idly by and are preparing a new strategy to ensure that Cristian Chivu can still have an extra valuable striker in his squad: the hot names are those of Christopher Nkunku and Lois Openda, while among the free agents Dominic Calvert-Lewin, in recent seasons at Everton, is of interest. Then watch out for Federico Chiesa: he is not a pure striker, but his offensive capabilities could still be useful to the Nerazzurri cause.
