This is the admission made by the coach of the national volleyball team, Ferdinando De Giorgi, in a post on Instagram dedicated to the Nations League final, lost last Sunday by Italy against Poland: “On the bench we made a mistake in typing on the tablet the’order of the lineup. A mistake that should not be made, but unfortunately it happened and put the boys in trouble with whom I apologize”.

“The silver shines, but in sports sometimes less than what it really represents – writes the coach – It is a medal you win by losing the last game but for us it has a very important value, it represents three and a half months of work and the participation of 24 players who trained to fight until the end. This is the value that remains in view of the highlight event of the season…the World Cup”.

“There&#8217s a value feeling of deep reciprocity, when there’s a mistake we try to help and improve – continued the coach -, we do not look for culprits, we try to improve! Those who look for culprits have already lost! Let’s keep the value of this first silver in the Nations League and work to improve again! I am very confident. The Nations League result is not the end of a journey but it is the’beginning from which we must and will start again to win with value”.
