Julio Velasco’s Italy in retreat in Cavalese, World Cup goal

The women’s national volleyball team has chosen Trentino, and in particular the Casa del Volley of Cavalese, in Val di Fiemme, to prepare for the most important appointments of the season now just around the corner with a retreat from Aug. 4 to 8.
Welcoming the team, coached by Julio Velasco and captained by Anna Danesi, was the councillor for city planning, energy, transportation, sports and protected areas, Mattia Gottardi.
“For our territory it is a great honor to welcome the national women’s volleyball team. Their presence, in addition to being is a source of pride for all of Trentino, which boasts sports facilities of the highest level, is a stimulus for many young people who aspire to grow through sports,” said the councillor.
The presence of the blue athletes is also an’opportunity for the team to be close to our community, as well evidenced by the open-door training organized at the Palazzetto Árpád Weisz of the La Rosa Bianca Institute in Cavalese”, added Gottardi.
After the triumph at the Olympic Games in Paris and the recent victory in the Volleyball Nations League, the national team is preparing for the World Championship, which will be held in Thailand from Aug. 22 to Sept. 7.
