Cruijff Trophy, Antonio Conte and Enzo Maresca also in contention

The periodical “France Football,” famous for establishing and awarding the Ballon d’Or, has released the list of nominees for the Johan Cruijff Trophy for best coach of last football season.

In the list of five nominations are two Italian coaches, Antonio Conte who won the Scudetto with Napoli, and Enzo Maresca who at the helm of Chelsea won the Conference League and the World Club Championship.

With them are PSG’s Luis Enrique, given by many as the favorite for the award, Liverpool’s Arne Slot the Premier champion, and Barcelona’s Hansi Flick who won La Liga.

As for the award for women’s soccer, the ‘nominations’ are those of Sonia Bompastor, Arthur Elias, Justine Madugu, Renée Slegers and Sarina Wiegman, the latter ct of England, which was confirmed as champion of Europe.
