Matteo Arnaldi immediately eliminated, Bonzi deserves Lorenzo Musetti

It’s already over the Ohio adventure of Matteo Arnaldi, one of the eight Italians starting in the main draw of the “Cincinnati Open,” the seventh ATP Masters 1000 of the season equipped with a prize pool of $9,193,540.
The world number 41 was defeated in the first round 6-7(1) 6-3 6.3, after a nearly three-hour battle with Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi with whom there was no previous record.
Bonzi will now face another Italian, Lorenzo Musetti, No. 10 in the ranking and No. 8 in the seeding who holds a 3-1 advantage in the balance of direct comparisons (including Challengers) with the 29-year-old from Nimes.
Arnaldi, making his second appearance in the main draw of the Ohio “1000,” was also eliminated in his debut last year, at the hands of Argentina’s Etcheverry.
