Federica Brignone doesn’t give up Milan Cortina 2026

Federica Brignone gave an exclusive interview to Corriere dello Sport in which she updated on her condition: “I am fine. At the end of July I underwent an arthroscopy on my left knee to improve and speed up the recovery of joint range. The operation was perfectly successful and I am now continuing rehabilitation at J Medical”.
“Obviously this is not how I thought I would spend my summer but I can’t change it – added the alpine skiing champion -, I am trying to live what I can do as best as I can to realize the dream of returning for the next winter season”.
“Since my surgery, I have moved to Turin to J Medical with excellent professionals and I am doing an average of 7 hours of rehabilitation and physiotherapy a day – explained the ‘Tiger’ -. There are things that are going great and others for which I struggle more. Unfortunately, the accident was really bad but I am quite positive and I am really working a lot. If you want to do something great in life you still always have to force yourself a little bit. I had to respect my leg, also because I had no alternative but I always worked with pain”.
“If I had listened to my body, I would probably still be sitting in a chair. If you want to face difficult challenges, you have to go outside your comfort zone. Also because there is a goal in my sights: Milan-Cortina. I don’t know yet if I will be able to prepare seriously on a physical level. For now, I’m living hand to mouth. Until I can put on skis, and even there it will have to be seen, I will not be able to give definitive answers. Of course the dream is there and I am working for it, otherwise I would not be making all these sacrifices” concluded Brignone.
